The Philippines’ steadily growing economy and rapidly increasing population – which is now approaching 109 million – has brought with it an equally growing demand for safe, nutritious, resource efficient food. To help meet the challenges of both food sustainability and food safety, JBT is developing and providing solutions to support protein food manufacturers and processors in delivering improved options for consumers in the country.
JBT will use its presence at the second annual ProPak Philippines event, which takes place from February 5-7 at the World Trade Center, Manila, to showcase proven and trusted solutions as well as new technologies for the food and beverage industry that will ensure compliance to food safety and quality standards.
In particular, JBT will focus on innovative solutions which can offer significant benefits for manufacturers and processors in the region, covering all aspects of processing from pasteurization through to cooking and freezing. On the freezing side, JBT will showcase the Frigoscandia range of freezing technologies from the brand which created the frozen foods market as we know it, while coating and cooking will be represented by the Stein, Double D and Formcook brands.
When it comes to primary processing, JBT can provide a wide range of solutions, including DSI Waterjet Portioning, injection and marination solutions from Schröder, and poultry processing systems from the most recent addition to the JBT family, Prime Equipment Group.
High-pressure pasteurization from JBT Avure will also be highlighted at the stand, with visitors being given the chance to learn about a clean label technology that can double or triple shelf life without chemicals, additives or heat.
